A native Californian and a New Englander at heart, Jennifer Stuart fell in love with Cape Cod at a college girlfriend’s wedding in the mid-90s. The sea, vintage vibes, nautical flare, lush greenery and flowers, delicious sea food, boats, and the coastal breeze all drew her in.
In 2022, with an empty nest on the horizon, Jennifer decided to put the wheels in motion of pursuing the purchase of a hospitality property on The Cape. The dream evolved from wanting to renovate and run a ramshackle seaside motor lodge to procuring a traditional bed & breakfast. The dynamic nature of the later allows Jennifer to marry all of her passions in one professional endeavor… design, art, textiles, flowers, food, wine, retreat programming, entertaining and most of all… people!
Jennifer is eternally grateful to brother and sister team, Robin & Claire Laverty. They created a beautiful property and robust business that they lovingly cared for for ten years. Jennifer took the reigns on June 23, 2025 and is looking forward to being the devoted custodian of The Village Inn Cape Cod for years to come!
